Bumblebee Morning

So I just finished taking this pic:
and had sent Nick on his way to school. I was walking back toward the front door when a bee buzzed my head near the front door. Naturally, this got my attention. My eyes locked onto him and I watched him for a moment. He landed on the cedar bush near our front door. He was kind enough to stay put for about five minutes – just long enough to grab a bunch of images. These are the best four shots I got. I guess it was his way of apologizing to me for buzzing my head……

Presidential Motorcade – 1/9/2015
by Martin Family Admin on Jan.09, 2015, under General, January 2015
It should come as no surprise to anyone that I am not a fan of our current President but it is not every day one gets to see the Presidential motorcade drive right by their office window.
The Huey flew a circular pattern over and up the Pellissippi about 20 minutes before the motorcade went by and it wasn’t all that far off the ground. One can tell from the shots that the motorcade itself is quite long but if you blink you will miss the four Presidential limos as they go by, one of which holds the President. Post 9/11, which one he is in is anyone’s guess by design.
